PSP2
In 2007, Sony hinted at what we anticipated to be a revised PlayStation Portable. What we expected to be the PSP2 was actually the PSP Slim/Lite, a second generation of the PSP that was 33% lighter and 22% slimmer. The handheld also featured more internal memory, allowing for faster load times and smoother web surfing. The PSP Slim/Lite sported a shinier exterior and was released as a full market replacement for the original PSP.
Since the release of the PSP Slim/Lite, there has been a third coming of the PSP: the PSP-3000. The new model features even more design tweaks and hardware upgrades, but as the PSP Slim/Lite, it does not significantly change the platform.
