The lucky ones in the far east are already able to get their hands on the PSP game-of-the-century: Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core. The scary thing is that there has still been no word of an English release date. We’re keeping our ears open though.
Surprisingly, one of the most frequent questions I get is about buying used PlayStation Portable systems. Apparently, they’re hard to find in good condition. So today I decided to make a short list of exactly where you can find used PSP systems at reasonable prices.
1. eBay’s Buy It Now sellers
Now, everyone knows about eBay. However, most people tend to focus on the auction side of the site. In my experience with eBay, auctions can sometimes force you into a price range that you originally wouldn’t have even considered. Try checking out some of the “buy it now” prices. You will be surprised.
2. Online forums
Keep an eye on some different internet discussion forums. Transactions aren’t as straight-forward, but you can try to bargain down the price. PSP-Vault is a place to start.
3. Local pawn shops
In my area, the best place to buy used consoles is EB Games. While typically more expensive than interet options, you will at least know exactly what you’re paying for. Pawn shops tend to be a gamble. I’ve seen used PSP systems without a power adapter priced at $200, and others that include 5 games for a mere $80.
I hope this helps you in some way! Just don’t get too obsessed with finding the absolute cheapest price in the world. At some point, you have to value your time over money. Good luck, and happy shopping :)
Hey everyone. I know that I haven’t updated very much recently. I have several good excuses.
The first one is that there hasn’t been a whole lot to write about, except the launch of the new PSP slim. My second excuse is that I have been completely tied up with switching jobs, moving, and the coming school year.
I will also admit that my supply of PSP games has been running dry. Which is a bummer. Send me some more free games, Sony!
Anyways, I will gradually start updating on a regular basis again. Just hang tight, subscribe to the RSS feed, and pick yourself up a copy of Monster Hunter Freedom 2.
Level 5’s Jeanne d’Arc presents a playful, anime twist on the traditional French story of Joan of Arc. Joan of Arc was a young girl who believed she heard the voice of God telling her that she must unite her country and force the invading English out of the country.
So far, the game is receiving very positive reviews. Clearly, if you are any level of strategy rpg fan, Jeanne d’Arc is a must have game. You can get your hands on it now for a very reasonable $29.99. And if you haven’t already, be sure to sign up for the free Jeanne d’Arc demo.
Our “free UMD offer” posts always generate a lot of buzz. Here’s a new one for ya. Strategy RPG / Jeanne d’Ark fans should sign up asap! Or, if you’ve never taken the time to really play a strategy rpg game, here’s your chance.
As with our previous demo offers, you will need a PlayStation Underground account including your mailing address in order to get your free copy of the Jeanne d’Ark demo.
Sign up here to receive a copy. Act fast, these are in limited supply! No word on when they will arrive.
