Firmware 3.50 cracked

Only a day after the release of PSP firmware 3.50, PSP hacker Chameleon has already managed to decrypt it. Apparently, the structure in 3.50 is nearly identical to 3.40, which makes things easy.

Dark_Alex, the coding genius behind the Open Edition firmware, is currently on hiatus from the homebrew world. However, he has commented that there will definitely be a 3.50 OE-A later this month.

    niall, sorry to say that you cannot update from 3.40 to 3.50 OE.

    Systems with version 3.40/3.50 firmware cannot be downgraded at the moment. This may change in the future. If it does, we’ll let you know!

    Well I fope I can run homebrew in the future.Actually i heard about a downgrade for all psp firmwares created by the Noobz Team using the Lumines game.Do you think this is safe to use??
