Sonic Rivals 2 coming to PSP

The original Sonic Rivals was an entertaining but mediocre game (although, what Sonic title hasn’t been since the Dreamcast days?). Either way, it didn’t really matter when it came to Sonic Rivals - it was still the Sonic that we all know and love, in the palm of our hands on the Sony PSP. The most interesting part about Sonic Rivals was the choice to revert to a classic, side-scrolling approach. In fact, the 2D in 3D game play worked quite well.

Fans of the blue blur - including myself - should be pleased to know that Sonic Rivals 2 has been confirmed. The game is set to be released for the PSP sometime in November. Hopefully, the sequel will address the complaints about the first game. If Sega actually listens to fans - which they tend not to do - this could turn out to be another defining PSP game.
