Crisis Core coming in August?

Do we finally have a release date for Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core? According to new rumors, FFVII: Crisis Core could be coming to Japan as early as August 2nd, 2007 - and worldwide shortly after that.

Certainly, an August 2nd release date would please many Final Fantasy fans who have been anxiously awaiting the game for over two years now.

The rumors are apparently based on the latest issue of Jump - a Japanese gaming magazine. I haven’t been able to track down any confirmation or scans of this article, so this is still a rumor for now. We’ll let you know if anything changes.
