Sony PSP vs mylo

One is a handheld gaming console, the other, a pocket-sized communication device. The two electronic devices, both created by Sony, are very comparable in feature and design. Even physically, the mylo looks like a mini PSP. Is it possible that we will see a hybrid of the two handhelds in the future? A PSP Communicator would make sense.
The PSP’s controls are obviously designed with gaming in mind - a d-pad, shoulder buttons, and analog nub - while the mylo sports a slick thumb-operated QWERTY keypad.
The downside to the mylo is the price tag - $300 seems outrageous compared to $170 for the PSP. Then again, the mylo is intended to compete with the likes of the Sidekick and iPhone, both of which cost well over $300.
The mylo is considerably smaller than the PSP, coming in at 63mm x 123mm vs the 74mm x 170mm PSP. But what the PSP lacks in pocket-power, it makes up for it in graphics. The Sony PSP features a beautiful 16:9 widescreen with over 16 millions collors, and 480 by 272 pixels. The mylo has a smaller 2.4″ screen with only 65 colors.
Both handhelds support Sony’s Memory Stick Pro Duo format, but the mylo also has 1GB of flash memory built in - which the PSP is clearly lacking.
Each device has its own advantages. For gaming and entertainment purposes, the PSP is clearly the way to go. For a pocket-friendly communicator, the mylo is a great choice.
I had an opportunity to play around with the mylo at an electronics fair last year. It’s very simple to use and has so much potential with the built in Linux-module and wifi connection. I think Sony would be in the right mind to combine the mylo with the nex-gen PSP. With Skype calling rumored for the PlayStation Portable, this future doesn’t look too far off.

I know that the mylo can play flash games and small homebrew games, but nothing like the PSP that I am aware of.
