Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters demo arrives

Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters on PSP

So, my Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters PSP demo finally arrived yesterday. Perhaps it’s a good thing that I haven’t got around to buying the game yet. The demo took almost exactly a month to get here, from the time I requested in back in March. It was well worth the wait, too. The UMD disc includes the first three levels of the game, which makes for some decent playtime.

The good news is that Ratchet & Clank is just as fun on Sony’s PSP as it is on the PS2. In fact, the game stands its own ground as a solid addition to the series.

Graphically, Ratchet & Clank: Size Matters is very similar to the PS2 version - colorful, clean animated levels. The gameplay is basically the same too, with all of your favorite weapons still usable.

The most surprising factor for me was the story, which from what I’ve seen, is actually quite entertaining and funny. Overall the game entirely surpasses my expectations. I would go as far as to say that it’s the best platformer on the PSP to date (move aside, Daxter)! No wonder it’s number one.

Unfortunately, the free demo disc offer is no longer available. However, if you were one of the lucky few to get your name in the basket, you should receive your UMD in the mail soon.
