Sony to refocus efforts on PSP
It’s no secret that Sony has been giving all of their attention to the PS3 lately. What’s to expect though… After a sloppy PS3 launch and dragging console sales, Sony needs to do all they can to get the PS3 scene together.
Now, Sony will finally be refocusing some effort back to the PSP. GameIndustry.biz recently had an opportunity to chat with UK’s Sony boss Ray Maguire. The PSP is discussed a lot throughout the interview.
Maguire talks about how the PSP is really a third-party system, whereas the Nintendo DS is first-party oriented. He goes on to say that Sony is pushing some “compelling games” for the PSP this year. He also - very briefly - speaks of something totally new in store for PSP gamers this year. A redesign, perhaps?
