No PSP redesign in 2007
People have been speculating a PSP redesign before the PSP was even released. Well, according John Koller, Sony’s PSP product manager, there are no plans being made for a PSP2 or even a redesign.
Despite all of the PSP lite mockups, Sony has made it very clear that they want to focus on expanding the current system instead of making a new one. Koller also made it clear that Sony America will be bringing new PSP colors to North America soon.
While Sony consistently denies a PSP redesign, it’s still very possible we’ll see one this year. Hardware companies will typically wait until the last minute to announce a hardware update, to ensure that sales of the original system don’t slow down.
We’ll just have to see what happens.
