FFVII Crisis Core: 70% complete
Some new information on the upcoming Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core for the PSP was released at the Game Developer’s Conference this week. First of all, Square-Enix has confirmed that the title is over 70% complete. Secondly, there is still no defined release date, but Tetsuya Nomura announced that a release date will be set soon.
With 30% of the game still on the burner, plus production, legal, and marketing times, I’m going to estimate a fall release for Japan and worldwide release around the holidays in 2007.
On a side note, the release of Final Fantasy II Anniversary Edition was also delayed. The game is now set for a June release in Japan instead of May. There has been no word of bringing the Anniversary Edition outside of Japan, but who knows what will happen at the Square-Enix party this year.
One thing is for sure, Crisis Core looks more beautiful every time we see it. You can check out more magazine scans of the game on Jeux-France.
