Monster Hunter Portable 2 coming to Europe

Capcom Europe has just announced that they will bringing the popular Monster Hunter series to the U.K. and other PAL regions this fall. The European version of Monster Hunter Portable 2nd will sell under the name “Monster Hunter Freedom 2.”

This is great news. We told you it was going to happen. I’m almost positive we’ll hear about a US release soon as well. But even if Capcom decides not to bring Monster Hunter to the U.S. for some reason, we can always just import the PAL version. The official press release from Capcom states: “Capcom plans to release this game as Monster Hunter Freedom 2 across PAL territories in September 2007.”

Meanwhile, back in Japan, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd has sold over 700,000 copies since its release, making it the second best selling PSP game ever.
