Monster Hunter Portable 2 released

Japanese PSP owners love Monster Hunter. The first edition of Monster Hunter Portable was a steller hit, with many Japanese gamers buying a PSP just for that game.

The second game has had an even greater impact. Crowds lined up in front of Japanese businesses earlier this week, eagerly awaiting to get their hands on Monster Hunter Portable 2. I have a suspicion that more people lined up for the MHP2 launch than Sony’s PS3 launch.

One can only hope that we’ll see this franchise leave Japanese shores someday.
