N64 Emulator released for PSP
Various Nintendo 64 emulators for the PSP have been around for a while now. Except… none of them worked. Games were too slow and buggy to actually be playable. Still, the homebrew community pressed on. StrmnNrmn has just released the 9th version of his (working) 64 emulator, Daedalus.
The emulator doesn’t support all games, and StrmnNrmn has spent most of his time trying to get Mario 64 to work on the PSP. Finally, in Daedalus R9, Mario 64 is playable. The game runs fast, but slightly under normal frameright. Turning the sound on can cause some moderate lag, though. Levels perform even better, and lots of graphical problems have been fixed from previous versions of Daedalus.
The new version of the Nintendo 64 emulator includes…
Faster framerate
New UI
Audio support
Various graphical fixes
As with any homebrew application, you will need an older/custom PSP firmware to run the 64 emulator. You can download the N64 emulator for 1.50 firmware via QJ.

wait so does it not work with the newer firmware like 3.01 and 3.3 and stuff?
Unfortunately not. Daedalus and other PSP emulators will only work on earlier firmware versions (1.50 etc). However, it will work with custom (hacked) 3.01 and 3.3 firmware. But in order to use custom firmware you have to downgrade to 1.5 first anyways.
