Firmware 3.11 out, already cracked

Shortly after the release of firmware 3.10, Sony has already served us a new update: 3.11. Don’t get too excited though, this update only fixes a bug found in the game R-TYPES - a Japan-only downloadable PS1 game. The new firmware can be downloaded via network update.

Amazingly enough, the new firmware has already been decrypted by the homebrew community. What does this mean? Most likely a new version of Dark_Alex’s open-edition firmware, which combines the functionality of Sony’s official firmware releases with the ability to run homebrew.
