LocoRoco 2 confirmed

Phil Harrison has confirmed that we will see a LocoRoco sequel in the future. Not a complete surprise since the game has been a huge hit, especially outside of Japan. During an interview with MTV, the Sony Computer Entertainment President commented of the future of LocoRoco.

Did he have any year-end thoughts on perhaps the most unconventional game Sony published this year, “LocoRoco”?

“It was a very successful game for us and we’re continuing to evolve the franchise,” he said. “We’re going to bring ‘LocoRoco’ back in a couple of new ways with some new friends in the future.”

Awesome. Hopefully other developers will take notice of the game’s success and brew us some more unique PSP puzzle games.
