PSP #3 In Japan
The Japanese console charts from last week are out, including the new PS3 in the lineup. Note, the Wii wont be out in Japan until December, so it’s not included in the list. The PSP came in third, selling 19,000 units. Clearly, Japanese gamers are in love with the DS, with sales blazing past the PSP and PS3.
1. DS Lite - 148,147
2. PlayStation 3 - 81,639
3. PSP - 19,123
4. PS2 - 16,157
5. GBA SP - 3,864
5. Xbox 360 - 3,864
7. GB Micro - 1,213
8. GameCube - 496
9. DS - 279
10. GBA - 19
11. Xbox - 3 units
It will be interesting to see how the PSP fares after the Wii release worldwide.
